  • Shadwell Flower, Vegetable and Craft Show - Leeds (19th August 2017)
    Traditional village flower, vegetable and craft show in a village setting on the primary school playing field. Hundreds of exhibits and displays. Trade stalls selling plants, homemade produce, cards, etc. Tombola and musical entertainment throughout.

  • The Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival - York Racecourse ( 22 August).
    Yorkshire's oldest, richest, fastest and most famous horse racing event is a highlight on the summer sporting calendar. Expect some very stylish race-goers.

September 2017

  • Great Autumn Flower Show Harrogate - Yorkshire (3rd weekend in September).
  • World Firework Championships - Blackpool (8th - 29th┬áSeptember)
    See Blackpool illuminated with fantastical firework displays as the best pyrotechnic teams compete from across the world.
  • Great North Run - Newcastle (10 September)
    The Bupa Great North Run with over 50,000 runners taking part in the event. The half
    marathon course goes from Newcastle to South Shields.

  • York Festival of Food and Drink - York (22nd Sept to 1st Oct 2017)
    A food spectacular showcasing local produce with markets, themed dinners, tutored tastings, cookery classes and restaurant meal deals.

October 2017

  • Last Laugh Comedy Festival - Sheffield (all month)
  • Juice Festival - region-wide (21 to 29 October)
    This series of exhilarating events celebrates children and young people with free performances of music, song and dance, plus poetry and art.
  • Marsden Jazz Festival - Marsden, West Yorkshire (mid October)
