Bath is host to a number of independent festivals of literature, music and arts each year. The Bath Music Festival
Bath Parade Gardens © TAB This highly regarded musical event features orchestral, chamber and contemporary classical music; bringing classical and popular musicians from around the world to Bath for two weeks in late May or early June. The programme includes some free outdoor events, plus galleries around the city hang special exhibitions of contemporary art. Many restaurants serve special festival menus, often accompanied by live music. Bath Fringe FestivalBath Fringe is a jamboree of arts and entertainments across the city, one of the largest in the country. Held in late May or early June. The Bath Literature FestivalLarge book festival with over 100 literary events and talks from leading authors. Held each year around late February early March.
