Although the Festival takes it name from the town of Glastonbury it actually takes place at Worthy Farm between the small villages of Pilton and Pylle, some six miles (12.6 km) east of Glastonbury. The event is said to be the largest green field open-air music and performing arts festival in the world. It is best known for its contemporary music but also features dance, comedy, theatre, circus and cabaret.

Location: Worthy Farm, Pilton.

Date: usually held around the last week of June.
