The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) stages a number of shows at various times of the year, in different parts of the country: ![]()
Exhibits usually comprise a number of individually designed 'show gardens', covering a range of categories of garden design (large and small). There is also an extensive floral marque, which hosts a wider range of smaller exhibits, put on by nurseries, garden centres and specialist growers. Many smaller societies also exhibit. The show gardens and marque exhibits are assessed and marked by a team of RHS judges who award certificates based on the quality, botanical interest and accuracy of the display. Awards range from Gold, silver, silver gilt and bronze. ![]() Each venue also provides a wide variety of trade stalls where visitors can purchase plants, seed, bulbs, tools, garden accessories and furniture etc. Refreshment stalls, cafés and restaurants are also provided. The RHS flower shows are very popular and draw large crowds of visitors. Highlights from the shows are broadcast on national TV; the most popular show being the Chelsea Flower Show in central London.
