In early May each year the sleepy little village of Stilton bursts into life for its annual cheese rolling festival, a tradition that began way back in the 12th century. The main high street is partitioned off and filled with stalls, sideshows and fair rides, plus hundreds of spectators, who come to watch the Cheese Rolling competition outside the old Bell Inn. The event provides:
