South Downs Way is a 106 mile (170 km) national trail running along the southern chalk downs from Winchester to Eastbourne.
This popular path provides bracing walks and splendid views, and is usually dry underfoot. Not many travellers do the whole walk in one go. There is easy access to the path from several towns and villages along the route, all with good transport links and plenty of accommodation, so it can be easily walked in short sections. |
